WSL on Windows 10 here. The only way to install Firefox on Ubuntu is via snap, but not (socket failed). Desde que instalé Ubuntu la señal del módem se interrumpía inopinadamente. A veces duraba, pero no siempre, ni siquiera cambiándole algunos parámetros de configuración del wifi y de la conexión a Internet vía navegador. Entonces, un día que estaba descargando un archivo grandototote, que me acerco al módem de TELMEX para ganar velocidad y que veo que en la etiqueta y en Redes podía ver una señal 5G de dicho aparato. Me conecto y boom, la solución.

No hay nada que no pueda echar a perder un ingeniero y por nada estuve así de bajar los brazos y dejar para mejor ocasión abrir la carcasa de esta laptop  Vorago de gama baja (2 GB RAM DDRIII) que vino con Windows 7 Starter LATAM preinstalado que tantas veces me salvó el pellejo: el último tornillo que la sujetaba estaba justo debajo del sello de garantía ... ¿Cuál garantía?  No puedo usar la RAM de la vieja Acer Aspire (Samsung genérica, digamos DDR) en la Vorago Stela 100. La opción era chisparle los 4 GB a la Acer Aspire V5 (DDR3) y pasarle el banco de 2 (olvidarme de Fedora y optar por Xubuntu). En lugar de hacer eso salí corriendo por 4 GB DDR3 a Mercado Libre porque el precio de la RAM me pareció razonable y porque la verdad no creí que todavía la pudiera encontrar nueva (el vendedor dice que es nueva).
